New Classes in the Valentine Show
Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 7:50PM Riders are encouraged to try the new classes offered at the Valentine Show. The Medal Class for advanced riders includes jumping with no stirrups and halts between fences. The dressage test is an individual event challenging the rider's equitation on a pattern. Think of it as a grown-up version of the figure 8 class.
Intermediate riders have a chance to ride over a few fences with no stirrups in their riding test. Younger riders are invited of enter the Valentine Hunt. As they travel around the ring, they stop at question stations. Hard questions earn up to three hearts. The rider with the most hearts wins. There is also a open bare-back horsemanship class for both English and Western riders.
In future shows, we'll see the return of Gambler's Choice for jumpers, Hunter Pairs and the Parent Child class. Please feel free to email suggestions too.
